The one-off Lamborghini Pregunta, a fighter jet-inspired 1998 concept, will cross the block at Broad Arrow’s Zoute Auction.

Broad Arrow Auctions will bring a piece of Lamborghini history to the block this fall, offering the 1998 Pregunta concept during the Zoute Concours Auction in Knokke-Heist, Belgium, on October 10, 2025.

The Pregunta, estimated at €2.5 million to €3.5 million, represents the last Lamborghini concept created before the brand’s full integration into the Volkswagen Group. Styled by French coachbuilder Carrosserie Heuliez under Marc Deschamps, the one-off coupe debuted at the 1998 Paris Motor Show, drawing inspiration from the Dassault Rafale fighter jet.

The concept’s dramatic design included carbon-fiber bodywork, massive air intakes, canopy-style scissor doors and a matte grey finish borrowed from the Rafale. Inside, the jet theme continued with glass screens, fiber-optic lighting, aviation-style seats trimmed in Azure Blue Alcantara and a digital Magneti Marelli instrument cluster.

Underneath, the Pregunta was based on a reworked Lamborghini Diablo chassis with a 5.7-liter V12 producing 537 PS and 605 Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Capable of reaching 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 337 km/h, it combined concept car styling with serious performance.

After its debut, Lamborghini displayed the Pregunta at trade shows and promotional events before it was sold in 2008 to a private collector. The car later received a Polo Storico certification and spent time on display at the Museo Lamborghini in Sant’Agata.

“The Lamborghini Pregunta is a striking piece of design that combines superb engineering with fighter-jet styling,” said Joe Twyman, Broad Arrow’s VP of Sales for the EMEA Region. “We expect considerable international interest in this truly unique car.”

The Pregunta’s sale marks the first time in more than a decade that the car has been offered publicly. See it here.
