Few vehicles carry the presence of a genuine Humvee, and this one takes the formula a big step further. Listed in the Motorious inventory, this 2007 AM General M1152A1 HMMWV pickup has been transformed from a former military workhorse into a show-quality, street-going truck, and it's offered by Pennsylvania consignment house Classic Auto Mall for $89,900.
The Humvee first captured the public's imagination during Desert Storm, when near-live cable news coverage put these go-anywhere trucks in front of millions of viewers. That fascination eventually led AM General to build civilian Hummers at its Mishawaka, Indiana, plant. The M1152 was designed as the expanded-capacity cargo and troop carrier of the family, and it makes an ideal base for a pickup like this. A Build Sheet That Tells the Story
This truck isn't a quick surplus flip. A five-page build sheet from West Kentucky Surplus documents the extensive work done to take this HMMWV from military duty to civilian road use. The odometer shows 6,554 miles, though the seller notes that true mileage is unknown, which is typical for ex-military vehicles.
Dark Gray and Ready for Anything
Humvees already have larger-than-life proportions, but very few wear a two-stage Dark Gray finish like this one. Black accents throughout keep the "can do" look intact, and the equipment list reads like an overlander's wish list:

Military Grit, Civilian Comfort
Inside, four tall bucket seats are dressed in black vinyl and presented in great shape. A Grant steering wheel sits ahead of a mix of original military switchgear and an updated Speedhut gauge cluster with a digital odometer, while a Pioneer head unit handles AM/FM/CD duties. The massive vinyl-covered center console, cupholders, speakers, a locking box, and rubberized flooring help bring this rig into the civilian realm without softening its character. The removable doors keep things simple, with clean steel frames lining the insides.
Turbo Diesel Muscle
Power comes from a 6.5-liter GEP turbo diesel V8 rated at 190 horsepower, paired with a 4L80E four-speed automatic and sending torque to both axles through 3.07 gears. Underneath, the fully independent coil-spring suspension and inboard disc brakes at all four corners are hallmarks of Humvee engineering, and all the major mechanical components sit tucked up high for outstanding ground clearance. The seller describes the undercarriage as clean and dry.
On the road, Classic Auto Mall says the truck hums along in fine fashion with adequate power, straight and wide tracking, and surefooted handling. It takes a minute to adjust to the width, but once you do, it's a civilian's dream, and all onboard functions were reported working during the dealer's test drive.
A Humvee You Can Actually Live With
Military Humvees continue to draw serious attention on the collector market, from the modified 1993 M998 that chased bids on Cars & Bids to the civilian-converted M1123 on Hagerty Marketplace. This M1152A1 stands out with its documented build, show-quality paint, and genuinely useful pickup bed. Whether it's tackling winter weather, the trail, or the grocery store parking lot, there's simply no substitute for a Humvee.
