This Custom 1974 Ford Bronco Is Ready To Blaze The Trails

Recently refreshed inside and out with a brand new powerplant, tires, and top.

Built to compete with the Jeep CJ-5 and International Scout Harvester, Ford released the first-generation Bronco that was produced from 1966 through 1977. This new Bronco SUV was equipped with rugged good looks with plenty of attitude. In fact, the 1974 model year proved to be the most popular as Ford sold 25,824 units. RM Sotheby's is excited to offer this 1974 Ford Bronco Custom through their Online Only: Driving Into Summer auction.

This '74 Bronco has been completely refreshed inside and out. On the outside, it features a Sterling Gray Metallic paint with a new Wimbledon White hardtop that features a steel roof rack. Making the exterior appear even more rugged is the addition of "bolt on" style wheel arches. A set of 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped with new rubber sit on all four corners. Making this Bronco even tougher is the 3.5-inch lift with increased wheel travel.

Tucked in the engine bay is a new 4.9-liter V8 engine fed by FITech electronic fuel injection and backed by a C4 automatic transmission. This Bronco is equipped with four-wheel-drive with shift-on-the-fly Dana transfer case. Power steering allows for maneuvering turns with ease, and front-wheel power disc brakes bring everything to a halt.

RM Sotheby’s is delighted to announce its forthcoming time-based auction, Online Only: Driving into Summer, a time-based online sale set to open for bidding at 1:00 pm EDT on Thursday, 21 May with staggered closure on lots, now closing over two days due to consignor interest, beginning at 11:00 am EDT on 28 May and continuing 29 May. The auction will include more than 150 high-quality motor cars and a selection of automobilia spanning a multitude of segments of the market. Demonstrating great success since its introduction into the industry in October 2019, RM’s Online Only platform provides consignors and bidders a proprietary platform that allows for faster transactions to take place while still harnessing the level of service and reach associated with the RM Sotheby’s brand.

Building on the success of the recent Online Only: Palm Beach auction—which saw results of over $14 million, and a sell-through rate just above 70%—the Driving into Summer auction launches RM Sotheby’s first consignment-based Online Only collector car auction via rmsothebys.com.
