A Bertone-styled 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 has gone live on Bring a Trailer, offering bidders a well-presented, driver-focused example with documented maintenance and period-correct upgrades.

Finished in a deep blue over a refreshed tan vinyl interior, the two-door coupe presents with GTA-style 14-inch alloy wheels on 185/70 Pirelli P4000 tires and a painted steel spare wearing older Michelin rubber. Visual details include yellow-lens fog lamps, a bright grille, biscione C-pillar badges, and wrap-around bumpers. The car’s stance and glasshouse remain true to Giorgetto Giugiaro’s original Bertone-era silhouette.

The cabin was comprehensively re-trimmed in April 2017 by Exclusive Motorcars of Arizona, including front buckets, the contoured rear bench, door cards, and a custom-fabricated parcel shelf. Wood-veneer accents complement a wood-rim Personal steering wheel, while blue Alfa Romeo-branded mats protect black carpeting. Updates include a Sony CD stereo and air conditioning; a replacement dash pad is noted by the seller. Jaeger instrumentation features a tachometer with inset oil pressure gauge, a 140-mph speedometer, and readouts for fuel and coolant temperature. The tach drive gear and cable were replaced in March 2008. The five-digit odometer shows 49,000 miles; total mileage is unknown.

Power comes from a 1,962-cc, twin-cam inline-four originally rated at 128 horsepower. The engine retains SPICA mechanical fuel injection and a black crinkle-finish cam cover. Under current ownership, the powerplant was resealed at Ferrari of Denver in February 2010; the five-speed manual transmission was resealed at the same time. A limited-slip differential is fitted, and a replacement IMASAF rear exhaust section is installed.

Underneath, the GTV keeps its factory suspension layout: independent double wishbones with an anti-roll bar up front and a live rear axle with lower trailing arms and a reaction trunnion. Braking is by power-assisted discs at all four corners, consistent with the model’s reputation for balanced handling and confident pedal feel.

The listing includes compression-test readouts in the photo gallery and calls attention to the car’s turnkey presentation, blending sympathetic interior restoration with mechanical stewardship aimed at preserving drivability.
