1958 Cadillac Sedan de Ville Heads to Raleigh Classic With No Reserve

A well-preserved 1958 Cadillac Sedan de Ville with factory options and turquoise finish will cross the block without reserve.

Raleigh Classic Car Auctions will present a striking 1958 Cadillac Series 62 Sedan de Ville at its upcoming September Special sale, offered without reserve. Known for sourcing low-mileage and original collector cars, the auction house has included this Cadillac among 38 desirable lots from three private estates.

The Sedan de Ville, introduced in 1956 to complement the successful Coupe de Ville, represented Cadillac’s move toward making the DeVille nameplate its own separate series by 1959. For 1958, the model carried the brand’s hallmark luxury features while showcasing a dramatic design language that defined the era.

This particular example remained within the same extended family for more than 30 years before joining the Raleigh Classic collection. Finished in its factory-correct code “28” Turquoise with a white hardtop, the sedan’s presentation is enhanced by exceptional chrome and brightwork. Inside, the code “46” Turquoise and Black cloth and leather interior retains its elegance, with well-preserved carpets, trim, and instrument panel.

Power comes from Cadillac’s 365-cubic-inch V8, rated at 310 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque, paired with an automatic transmission and a four-barrel carburetor. The car is equipped with period-correct factory options including air conditioning, power windows, power steering, power brakes, and a push-button AM radio. Wire wheels wrapped in wide white radial tires complete its period appearance.

With its distinctive two-tone finish, long-term family history, and a full complement of factory features, this 1958 Cadillac Sedan de Ville represents an opportunity for collectors to acquire a significant piece of American automotive luxury. As one of Cadillac’s last DeVille models before the series became a standalone designation, it blends mid-century elegance with enduring desirability.

The Sedan de Ville will cross the auction block at the Raleigh Classic September Special, offered entirely without reserve. See it here.
