A heavily modified 1972 Dodge Demon is bringing modern pro-touring performance to one of Dodge’s lesser-seen muscle car platforms, combining classic Mopar styling with a comprehensive rotisserie-built restoration and a 530-horsepower stroker V8 setup.

Now offered through No Reserve Classics, the blacked-out Demon has undergone an extensive ground-up transformation focused on high-performance driving, long-distance usability, and show-quality presentation. The result is a vintage Mopar that retains the aggressive personality of the original while incorporating modern engineering throughout nearly every system of the car.
Power comes from a professionally built 418 cubic inch stroker small block Mopar V8 producing approximately 530 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque. The build is backed by dyno sheets and supporting documentation detailing the extensive work performed during the car’s construction.
The engine combination features Edelbrock Magnum aluminum cylinder heads, an Edelbrock RPM intake manifold, a Holley 750 race carburetor, Comp roller rockers, a Hughes solid camshaft, and TTI headers. Supporting hardware includes an MSD ignition system, Holley electric fuel pump, aluminum fuel lines, and an aluminum cross-flow radiator designed to improve reliability and cooling performance.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec TKO 600 five-speed manual transmission modified by Liberty Trans. Additional drivetrain upgrades include a McLeod dual-disc clutch, QuickTime SFI bellhousing, heavy-duty driveshaft, Spicer 1350 U-joints, and a narrowed 8¾ rear axle fitted with 3.55 gears and a Detroit Locker differential.
The exterior received equally extensive attention during the rotisserie-level restoration. Finished in PPG Black paint with House of Kolor White Sparkle Pearl Demon stripes, the car combines factory-inspired styling with subtle custom touches. Multiple coats of clear were applied over the finish, while fiberglass bumpers mounted on custom brackets help reduce weight without dramatically altering the Demon’s original appearance.
Additional modifications include shaved side markers, a filled fuel cap, black chromed hood pins, dark tinted glass, reproduction sport mirrors, and NOS grille and taillight components. The stance is completed by staggered Coy’s C-5 alloy wheels wrapped in Z-rated performance tires measuring 225/45ZR17 up front and 295/40ZR18 in the rear.
Inside, the Demon was redesigned with a stronger focus on performance driving while maintaining street-friendly comfort. The cabin now features race-style seats with DOT-approved harnesses, a six-point roll bar with swing-out door bars, and a rear seat delete that gives the interior a cleaner and more functional layout.
A custom instrument cluster houses AutoMeter gauges and an electronic speedometer, while a leather-wrapped Tuff steering wheel and HURST shifter reinforce the car’s road-race-inspired character. Modern upgrades include Vintage Air climate control, hidden stereo components with wireless remote and iPod integration, integrated speakers, and concealed air conditioning controls.
Underneath, the Demon reflects the same level of detail as the rest of the build. The suspension system includes Bilstein shocks, Firm Feel sway bars, tubular upper control arms, seam-welded chassis reinforcements, urethane bushings, and Mopar Performance road race leaf springs.
Braking duties are handled by a Viper-inspired setup featuring drilled and slotted rotors, stainless brake lines, rear disc brakes, and a Chrysler Imperial master cylinder conversion.
With just under 9,500 miles showing and an asking price of $79,999, the fully restored Demon represents a modern interpretation of classic Mopar muscle, combining vintage styling with upgraded power, handling, and long-distance touring capability.
