The black-over-tan coupe, currently located in Fairfax Station, Virginia, has reached a high bid of $90,000 with nearly a week remaining in the online sale. Showing 83,700 miles, the Supra is being represented by a private-party seller on behalf of the original owner, who reportedly purchased the car new in June 1998.

Widely recognized as one of Toyota’s most iconic performance vehicles, the fourth-generation Supra became a defining Japanese sports car of the 1990s. Known internally as the A80 generation, the model combined strong turbocharged performance with Toyota reliability and later gained worldwide popularity through motorsports culture and film appearances.

This example is powered by Toyota’s legendary 2JZ-GTE 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine paired with the highly sought-after six-speed Getrag manual transmission. In factory form, the engine produced 320 horsepower and 315 pound-feet of torque, though the seller notes that this car may produce additional power due to several aftermarket upgrades.

Unlike heavily modified examples often seen on the market, this Supra remains relatively close to stock specification. Modifications include an HKS Super Drager exhaust system, HKS intake, HKS blow-off valve, HKS turbo timer and a carbon-fiber front lip.

Factory equipment adds further appeal, with the car featuring both the Limited Edition and Gold Appearance packages. Additional equipment includes removable roof panels, a rear spoiler, leather upholstery, automatic climate control and factory 17-inch wheels.

The car’s service history appears extensive, with major maintenance performed recently. Records show the timing belt and multiple related components were replaced in early 2023, along with seals, hoses, spark plugs and cooling system components. Additional work included valve adjustments and replacement of turbo couplers and crankshaft seals. Brake pads were also replaced in July 2024.

Included with the sale are service records, owner’s manuals, factory exhaust and headlights, spare keys, a Seibon carbon-fiber hood, Racing Hart wheels, an indoor car cover and additional factory accessories.

While the car remains in clean overall condition, the seller notes several cosmetic imperfections, including minor chips on the nose and fenders, wheel curb rash and wear on portions of the interior. The front bumper cover was reportedly replaced after garage-related damage caused by falling equipment.

The seller also notes that emissions compliance could vary depending on state regulations due to the aftermarket modifications installed on the vehicle.

As prices for collectible Japanese performance cars continue climbing, original and lightly modified Supra Turbo models equipped with manual transmissions remain among the most desirable examples from the era.
