A highly altered Chevrolet C6 Corvette has surfaced once again on the used-car market, this time carrying an asking price just short of $95,000. Listed on CarGurus, the car stands in stark contrast to the many standard C6 models that can be found for a fraction of that amount. Well-kept examples often sell for a little over $20,000, making the pricing of this custom build an immediate point of curiosity.
The premium stems almost entirely from an aggressive body conversion created by Valarra. The kit replaces the car’s original panels with its own dramatic design language, including a drastically oversized front splitter and vent openings that dwarf those of the stock Corvette. The lighting elements are slimmed down to match the rest of the styling, resulting in a look aimed at maximizing visual impact rather than subtlety.
The modification extends to the wheels, which are forged units featuring a five-Y-spoke layout and a contrasting finish. At the rear, the car continues the exaggerated theme with a large wing and an equally bold diffuser. While the exterior transformation is extensive, the listing does not point to any mechanical upgrades, suggesting the car still uses the 6.2-liter LS3 V8 found in many later C6 models. In factory form, that engine was capable of producing up to 435 metric horsepower. Given the Corvette’s age and its more than 127,500 kilometers of use, it is unclear how closely it adheres to original output.
This particular Valarra-bodied Corvette has appeared on the market before. Twice last year it was offered for sale, with bidding reportedly topping out at $63,475 before the seller ultimately withdrew it. Its return with a near-$95,000 price tag raises questions about how it will fare in a market where stock examples remain plentiful and affordable.
For buyers drawn to dramatic styling over conventional value, the car’s presence may be enough to spark interest. For others, the sizeable premium may prove difficult to justify.
