Ford Mobile Service – once a small pilot program – is proving to be a massive success with customers across the U.S. and beyond. Originally launched in select markets a few years ago, the service expanded nationwide in January 2023, giving Ford owners the convenience of having technicians come directly to their home or office for routine maintenance like oil changes and tire rotations. Now, the program’s growth continues to accelerate as more Americans embrace the ease of at-home automotive care.
According to Ford’s Q2 2025 sales report, requests for Ford Mobile Service and its pickup/delivery program jumped 14 percent compared to Q2 2024, totaling 969,133 service experiences this past quarter alone. Of that figure, 578,899 services were completed via Mobile Service, marking an impressive 21 percent year-over-year increase. Altogether, Ford reports that 1.8 million customers have used one of these two convenient options so far in 2025 – a clear sign that the Blue Oval’s investment in mobile and dealer-based pickup services is paying off.
For those unfamiliar with the program, Ford Mobile Service allows a factory-trained technician to perform basic maintenance at a customer’s chosen location, eliminating the need for a trip to the dealership. The complementary pickup and delivery service takes things a step further, with dealers picking up vehicles for repairs, completing the work, and then dropping them back off – all without the customer needing to leave home or work.
This shift toward convenience-based services reflects a larger trend in the automotive world as more consumers demand flexibility and time-saving options for vehicle maintenance. With Ford Mobile Service now available nationwide – and in certain international markets – it seems likely that demand will only continue to grow.
