As Chevrolet’s modern passenger car lineup continues to revolve almost entirely around the Corvette, automotive enthusiasts remain captivated by the brand’s rich history of classic cars. While today’s Chevrolet catalog includes a broad range of trucks, SUVs, electric vehicles and commercial models, many fans still look to the company’s past for inspiration, particularly when it comes to iconic nameplates such as the Chevelle.

One digital automotive artist is turning attention to a lesser-known chapter of that legacy by reimagining the third-generation Chevrolet Chevelle Laguna through a contemporary performance-focused lens.
Timothy Adry Emmanuel, known online as “adry53customs,” recently unveiled a CGI rendering of a customized 1975 Chevrolet Chevelle Laguna. The virtual project moves away from the more celebrated second-generation Chevelle models produced between 1968 and 1972, a period often regarded as the high point of the nameplate’s popularity and performance credentials.
Instead, the artist focuses on the third-generation Chevelle, a model produced during the mid-1970s. Those vehicles featured a distinct design language and arrived during a period marked by the oil crisis, which contributed to declining performance figures across much of the American automotive industry. As a result, these later Chevelles have often remained overshadowed by their predecessors.
The digital concept aims to change that perception through a modern restomod approach. The 1975 Chevelle Laguna receives a subtle exterior facelift while retaining its recognizable profile. Performance-inspired modifications include a contemporary LS-series V8 engine, lowered suspension and an aggressive widebody aerodynamic package designed to give the classic coupe a more commanding presence.
Additional updates bring the vehicle firmly into the modern era. LED lighting is incorporated throughout the design, while the body is finished in a deep black color scheme. Ultra-wide cream-colored aftermarket wheels and red-accented tires create a striking contrast, complemented by a matching red-and-black interior.
The result is a bold reinterpretation of a Chevrolet model that rarely receives the spotlight. By blending classic styling with contemporary performance cues, the digital build offers a fresh perspective on the often-overlooked 1975 Chevelle Laguna and highlights the growing appeal of reimagining forgotten muscle car eras through modern design.
