A 1999 Ferrari F355 F1 Spider is attracting bidders as its online auction enters its final days, offering enthusiasts an opportunity to acquire one of the last examples of a model widely regarded as a defining sports car of the 1990s.
Finished in Rosso Corsa with a black soft top and a beige interior, the convertible shows approximately 24,300 miles on the odometer and is accompanied by a clean Oklahoma title. Vehicle history records indicate no reported accidents or mileage discrepancies, adding to the appeal of a car that has become increasingly sought after among collectors and Ferrari enthusiasts.
Introduced for the 1995 model year, the F355 succeeded the Ferrari 348 and represented a significant evolution in both styling and performance. Designed by Pininfarina, the model featured sleek proportions and a low-slung profile that helped establish it as one of the most recognizable Ferraris of its era. The lineup eventually expanded beyond the original Berlinetta coupe to include the open-top Spider and the GTS, while Ferrari introduced its paddle-shifted F1 transmission later in the production run.
This example is powered by a 3.5-liter V8 engine producing 375 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The naturally aspirated engine is notable for its 40-valve configuration and ability to rev to 8,500 rpm, characteristics that helped define the F355 driving experience. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed F1 automated manual transmission.
Factory equipment includes 18-inch magnesium alloy wheels, black-painted brake calipers, pop-up headlights, fog lights, a beige tonneau cover, Connolly leather upholstery, and air conditioning. Together, those features reflect the blend of performance and luxury that Ferrari aimed to deliver during the model’s production run.
The car has also received several modifications during its life. Reported upgrades include aftermarket Scuderia Ferrari shields, a Challenge rear grille, Fabspeed Motorsport headers, a Tubi exhaust system, and a Sony head unit. The performance-oriented exhaust components further distinguish the vehicle from a standard F355 configuration.
The seller notes several cosmetic imperfections consistent with age and use, including chips around the exterior, chips and scratches on the wheels, wear on the seats and other interior surfaces, and tires carrying 2010 and 2011 date codes.
Included with the sale are two keys, owner’s manuals, the original window sticker, a Ferrari-branded car cover, and the factory exhaust system. According to the seller, ownership began in May 2011, and approximately 14,300 miles have been added since then.
With production of the F355 ending in 1999 before the arrival of the Ferrari 360 Modena, the model remains an important chapter in Ferrari history. As bidding continues toward the auction’s close, this low-mileage Spider highlights the enduring appeal of Ferrari’s celebrated V8-powered convertible.
