Styling was unchanged for the 1957 Corvette, but did boast much better performance, and made sure everyone knew about it with a “Fuel-Injection” script on the front fender coves. A new 283ci V8 was introduced as standard, and later in the year, the new “fuelie” 283 produced 283 horsepower, making the 1hp per cubic inch engine a new record. Mate that with the new 4-speed manual and the Corvette was well on its way to becoming a legend.
