The 1951 DeVille changed little from the 1950 model. The Coupe DeVille chrome script appeared on the rear roof pillar for the first time to further distinguish itself from the Series 62 Club Coupe.

The Coupe DeVille chrome script appeared on the rear roof pillar for the first time to further distinguish itself from the Series 62 Club Coupe.

The previous year's sales doubled from the first, and this year was no exception with the '51 doubling the sales of the '50, thus the '51 Deville outpaced the Series 62 Club Coupe that year.
