Porsche is expanding its upcoming electric SUV lineup with the introduction of a new performance-focused model positioned between the base Cayenne Electric and the high-powered Turbo variant.
The latest addition, called the Cayenne S Electric, adds another option to the growing range of battery-powered vehicles from the German automaker. Designed as a mid-tier offering, the new variant delivers more power than the standard model while remaining less extreme than the flagship Turbo version.
Like the other electric Cayenne models, the Cayenne S Electric uses a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system. The setup generates 536 horsepower under normal driving conditions, but that figure increases significantly when launch control is activated. With launch control engaged, the system can produce up to 657 horsepower.
The performance figures place the Cayenne S Electric comfortably between its siblings. The base Cayenne Electric produces 435 horsepower, while the Turbo version pushes performance to a far higher level with 1,139 horsepower. Despite sitting in the middle of the lineup, the new model still delivers impressive acceleration and speed.

According to Porsche, the Cayenne S Electric can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds. The SUV also reaches a top speed of 155 mph, offering performance capabilities that rival many high-end sports vehicles despite its larger SUV form.
Power is supplied by a high-voltage battery shared across the electric Cayenne lineup. The battery pack has a gross energy capacity of 113 kilowatt-hours and supports charging speeds of up to 400 kilowatts. With access to a high-speed charging station, the battery can be replenished from 10 percent to 80 percent capacity in approximately 16 minutes.
An official driving range has not yet been announced by Porsche, though estimates suggest the electric SUV could travel around 320 miles on a full charge.
Visually, the Cayenne S Electric closely resembles the other models in the lineup, maintaining the familiar styling of Porsche’s flagship SUV. Subtle design details distinguish the new variant, including model-specific Volcano Grey Metallic accents on the front and rear. The vehicle also comes standard with 20-inch Cayenne S Aero wheels.
Inside the cabin, Porsche offers a newly available Interior Style package for the model. The package features two-tone upholstery combining black with Delgada Green, adding a distinctive touch to the SUV’s interior design.
The Cayenne S Electric is now available to order, with pricing starting at $128,000. That places it about $17,000 above the base model and roughly $37,000 below the Turbo version. Deliveries for the electric Cayenne lineup are expected to begin later this year.
