Malaysia’s boutique automaker Bufori, long known for its quirky retro-inspired creations, has unveiled its boldest project yet: a luxury performance coupe with the power to rival Europe’s finest. The new Bufori CS8 pairs handcrafted construction with a supercharged Hemi V8 producing a staggering 810 horsepower and 717 pound-feet of torque.
Founded in the 1980s, Bufori typically built limited-production cars styled after prewar classics. The CS8, however, signals a radical shift in direction. Instead of leaning into nostalgia, the coupe channels modern grand tourers like Aston Martin, while maintaining the brand’s focus on artisanal craftsmanship and exclusivity.
Built around a carbon-kevlar body and weighing just over 3,400 pounds, the CS8 is a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive machine that promises both luxury and speed. According to Bufori, the car can sprint from zero to 62 mph in just three seconds flat—performance numbers that place it squarely in supercar territory. An eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters delivers the power to the rear wheels.
The supercharged 6.4-liter Hemi V8 is just one of several available engine options, but it represents the pinnacle of Bufori’s performance ambitions. With 750 horsepower at the wheels, the CS8 joins the growing ranks of boutique hyper-luxury cars that combine bespoke design with brute force engineering.
