Low-Mileage Charger Hellcat Redeye Heads to Auction After Owner’s Three-Year Flip Attempt

A 2022 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody purchased with the intention of appreciating in value is now on the auction block after sitting untouched for three years. The owner, who bought the car new in August 2022, stored it in a heated garage and never put a single real mile on the supercharged sedan. His plan was simple: keep it pristine and hope the market climbed. Instead, the trend moved in the opposite direction.

The Charger Redeye left the factory equipped with Dodge’s supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8, delivering 797 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque when paired with its red key. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends that output to the rear wheels. With its full power unlocked, the model is capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and completing the quarter mile in 10.6 seconds. The black valet key limits output to 500 horsepower, though the seller says this example comes with two red keys.

Despite its performance capability, the car never saw use. Its digital odometer shows just 44 miles, all from delivery. The owner removed the original protective plastic but otherwise kept the vehicle in showroom condition. As values failed to rise, he opted to list it for sale, hoping bidders might appreciate a nearly untouched example of a discontinued muscle car.

The used market has shown strong prices for the model, with an average sale near $94,849 and a record result of $115,000 at a Mecum auction in 2022. Whether this car will reach those figures remains uncertain. Early bidding has climbed to $45,000, well short of its original sticker price.

Finished in Smoke Show paint with a black interior, the widebody sedan carries factory equipment including extended fenders, an SRT hood with a single scoop, a Satin Black performance spoiler, and the SRT Black package with darkened trim. Additional features include the Navigation and Travel Group, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and 20-inch wheels wrapped in 305-series tires. Brembo six-piston brakes and a track-tuned suspension round out its performance hardware.

The car also comes with a clean accident history and documentation confirming single-owner registration in Florida. According to the seller, it never required service due to its extremely low mileage. The next owner will receive both keys, manuals, the window sticker, and a car cover.

The listing arrives at a time when Dodge has transitioned the Charger nameplate toward electrification and a downsized internal-combustion lineup. For buyers seeking a last-chance HEMI-powered sedan, this nearly untouched Hellcat Redeye offers an unusual opportunity—if the bidding meets the reserve.
