The Cobra Jet 2200 recently completed a quarter-mile run in 6.87 seconds, reaching a top speed of 221 miles per hour. The performance was recorded at the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals in Charlotte, North Carolina, where the vehicle surpassed the previous record set by its predecessor, the Mustang Cobra Jet 1800. Despite its name, the Cobra Jet 2200 represents a complete redesign rather than a modified version of the earlier model.
