Ford is commemorating three decades of the Expedition with the introduction of a new 30th Anniversary Edition package, adding distinctive styling elements and exclusive features to its full-size SUV lineup.
The special edition builds on the existing stealth appearance package, incorporating unique design cues that set it apart visually. One of the most notable additions is an exclusive Blue Ember metallic tri-coat exterior finish, a color typically associated with the Mustang Dark Horse. The paint is designed to shift in appearance depending on lighting conditions, giving the SUV a dynamic presence on the road.
Exterior updates extend beyond the paint. The model is equipped with 22-inch gloss black wheels featuring commemorative center caps, along with a dedicated anniversary badge on the liftgate. Additional styling elements include black headlight bezels, black hood lettering, Carbon Black accents and darkened window trim, all contributing to a more aggressive and modern aesthetic.
Inside, the anniversary edition introduces a revised interior theme. While the stealth package typically features Black Onyx leather seating, this version adopts a lighter “salt crystal gray” upholstery contrasted with black accents. The cabin also includes contrast stitching and anniversary-specific branding on the door sill plates and center console, reinforcing the commemorative theme throughout the interior.
Under the hood, the Expedition retains its established powertrain. A 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine delivers 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, maintaining the SUV’s balance of performance and capability. A higher-output version of the engine exists within the lineup, though it has not been confirmed for inclusion with this package.
Pricing details have not been officially released, but estimates suggest the anniversary model will exceed $80,000 based on current trim and package costs.
Since its debut in 1997, the Expedition has become a key player in the full-size SUV segment, with nearly three million units sold. Recent sales momentum continues, with over 85,000 units sold in the United States last year, reflecting steady demand even as it competes with higher-volume rivals in the segment.
