ECD Auto Design Launches Custom Mustang Program with Debut of ‘67 Ghost Fastback

ECD unveils ‘67 Ghost, a fully custom 1967 Mustang Fastback with Roush V8 power, marking the start of its bespoke Mustang line.

ECD Automotive Design, a company long recognized for its luxurious reimaginings of classic Land Rovers and Jaguars, has officially entered the American muscle car arena. The Florida-based builder has revealed the ‘67 Ghost, a fully bespoke 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback and the first in its newly launched custom Mustang program.

The handcrafted Fastback represents a significant expansion for ECD (NASDAQ: ECDA), which is now offering one-of-one, client-commissioned builds based on 1965–1970 Mustangs. Each build features heritage styling, modern drivability, and authentic Ford power — a departure from the EV or crate engine swaps dominating the restomod landscape.

Powered by a 465-horsepower ROUSH 347 IR Small Block Ford V8, the ‘67 Ghost combines nostalgic character with contemporary performance. ECD has partnered exclusively with Roush Performance for all Mustang builds, ensuring each vehicle retains the soul of the original while delivering elevated reliability and responsiveness.

“This marks the beginning of what we’re calling a Mustang stampede,” said Scott Wallace, CEO of ECD Automotive Design. “‘67 Ghost defines the future of ECD — personalized builds, real V8 power, and masterful craftsmanship.”

Built atop a Roadster Shop RS Spec chassis, the Mustang features 11-inch drilled rotors with four-piston calipers, adjustable coilovers, and 17-inch Rambler chrome wheels on Nitto NT555 tires. The result is a car that blends classic muscle aesthetics with the control and refinement of a modern sports coupe.

Inside, the ‘67 Ghost is finished in black leather with tan diamond-stitched Recaro seats, a brushed aluminum dash, Grant Classic steering wheel, and modern tech such as Apple CarPlay, JBL premium audio, and remote start.

ECD says multiple Mustang builds are already in production, with designs inspired by iconic variants like the Shelby GT350 and Boss 427.

“We’re not chasing trends,” said ECD CTO Elliot Humble. “We’re building timeless machines, engineered for everyday use and custom-tailored to each owner.”
