Dodge has opened ordering for the 2026 Charger R/T, expanding its multi-energy performance lineup with a model the company says delivers more standard horsepower than any other muscle car on sale. Powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged SIXPACK engine, the R/T produces 420 horsepower and rounds out a Charger family that now spans gasoline and battery-electric performance models. Production is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026, with prices starting at $49,995 before fees.
The new R/T slots beneath the 550-horsepower Charger Scat Pack and the 670-horsepower electric Charger Daytona Scat Pack, giving buyers multiple ways to configure a high-output muscle car. Each model can be ordered as a two-door or four-door, continuing Dodge’s push to offer broad flexibility within a segment traditionally dominated by single-body layouts. The R/T also arrives standard with all-wheel drive, though a selectable rear-wheel-drive mode allows the car to channel all torque to the rear axle at the push of a button.
Dodge engineered the R/T’s SIXPACK S.O. powerplant to deliver a wide torque band and quick response. The setup features twin counter-rotating turbochargers capable of delivering 22 psi of boost, high-pressure direct injection, oil-cooled pistons, and variable valve timing. The company targets a 0–60 mph time of 5.0 seconds and a quarter-mile pass of 13.6 seconds. The top speed is listed at 168 mph.
Performance-focused hardware continues throughout the drivetrain and chassis. A mechanical limited-slip differential is standard, and buyers can add the Performance Handling Group, which equips Brembo six-piston front brakes, a performance suspension, wider wheels, high-back seats and track-oriented features such as Line Lock and Launch Control. Four drive modes—Auto, Eco, Wet/Snow and Sport—tailor the car’s behavior to different conditions. The widebody form, aggressive hood design and modernized interior carry forward Dodge’s evolving muscle-car aesthetic, while the “hidden hatch” layout offers best-in-class passenger volume.
Pricing increases slightly for four-door versions, which start at $51,995. The broader lineup remains positioned under the $60,000 threshold, with the Scat Pack and electric Daytona Scat Pack priced at $54,995 and $59,995, respectively. Charger Scat Pack models also include a day of instruction at Radford Racing School.
With the R/T now orderable, Dodge completes its next-generation multi-energy lineup, combining traditional V6-based turbo power with high-output electric options as it continues to broaden its performance reach.
