Bugatti Unveils One-Off F.K.P. Hommage as 1,578-HP Tribute to the Veyron’s Legacy

Bugatti has revealed a one-of-one hypercar created to honor the Veyron, the model widely credited with restoring the French marque to the pinnacle of automotive performance. Known as the Bugatti F.K.P. Hommage, the project pays tribute both to the Veyron itself and to Ferdinand Karl Piëch, whose vision for the W16 engine defined a generation of ultra-high-performance automobiles.

Developed by Bugatti’s team in Molsheim, the F.K.P. Hommage is the second vehicle produced under the brand’s Programme Solitaire, an initiative marking Bugatti’s return to bespoke coachbuilding. Like the earlier Brouillard, the Hommage was commissioned for a single client and is intended as a deeply personal and historically informed creation rather than a production model.

Technically, the car is based on the Chiron Super Sport platform, meaning it is powered by a quad-turbocharged W16 engine producing 1,578 horsepower. While full performance figures have not been released, the output significantly exceeds that of the original Veyron, which debuted with 1,001 horsepower. Mechanical systems such as braking are also derived from the Chiron, including large-diameter rotors and multi-piston calipers.

Visually, the F.K.P. Hommage draws heavily from the Veyron’s groundbreaking design language. Where earlier supercars favored sharp, wedge-shaped profiles, the Veyron introduced a more rearward-leaning posture that redefined the segment. The Hommage builds on that philosophy with updated proportions, a more upright interpretation of Bugatti’s horseshoe grille, and surfaces that visually flow outward from that central element. Subtle revisions include a slightly widened rear diffuser and bodywork that reflects unused design proposals originally developed during the Veyron era.

Lighting elements further reinforce the historical connection, with L-shaped daytime running lights and taillights that trace back to concepts once considered for a Veyron refresh before the Chiron program took over.

Inside, the F.K.P. Hommage demonstrates the full scope of Programme Solitaire customization. Alongside traditional leather, the interior features custom-woven fabrics produced specifically for the car. The centerpiece is a 41-millimeter Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon, created exclusively for the project and mounted in a rotating display within the cabin.

The exterior is finished in a complex dual-tone paint scheme featuring layered silver aluminum and red clear coats, complemented by exposed carbon fiber finished with black clear coating. Larger wheels than those used on the Veyron complete the visual transformation.

The customer car has yet to be completed and is scheduled for delivery next year. A show version of the F.K.P. Hommage will debut publicly at the Rétromobile exhibition in Paris on Jan. 29, offering the first in-person look at Bugatti’s modern interpretation of a defining automotive icon.
