Bugatti Marks Veyron’s 20th Anniversary With Special Logo, Festival in Molsheim

Bugatti celebrates the Veyron’s 20th anniversary with a new logo, historic displays, and a parade in Molsheim honoring its legacy.

Bugatti has taken an uncharacteristically restrained approach to celebrating one of its most influential cars. Instead of unveiling a record-breaking special edition or an extravagant lifestyle accessory, the marque revealed a commemorative logo at the 2025 Bugatti Festival in Molsheim to honor 20 years of the Veyron.

The “20 Years of Veyron” emblem incorporates the French tricolore into the number 20, alongside the signature of Pierre Veyron, the gentleman racer who gave the car its name. Visitors to the Parc des Jésuites witnessed the logo’s debut as part of a wider celebration that included historic and modern Bugattis on display and a parade through Molsheim. The timing was intentional, coinciding with what would have been founder Ettore Bugatti’s 144th birthday.

The Veyron’s story remains one of the most ambitious undertakings in automotive history. Volkswagen Group chairman Ferdinand Piëch, grandson of Ferdinand Porsche, personally pushed for a car that would defy conventional engineering limits. After a series of concept studies beginning with the EB 118 in 1998, the final production car arrived in 2005 with an 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine producing 1,001 metric horsepower.

That power translated into a verified 253 mph top speed, making the Veyron the fastest production car in the world at the time. Its $1.25 million price tag and Volkswagen’s nearly $2 billion investment underscored that the Veyron was never about profit—it was about proving what was possible. Over a decade of production, 450 cars were built in Molsheim, including several variants and limited editions.

Two decades later, Bugatti’s quiet tribute—a logo, a festival, and a parade—may reflect the company’s belief that the Veyron’s accomplishments speak for themselves. The car that redefined hypercars still holds a unique place in automotive history.
