Broad Arrow’s Villa d’Este Auction to Showcase Premier Pre- and Post-War Collectibles

In what promises to be a landmark event for classic car connoisseurs, Broad Arrow Auctions will host its inaugural sale at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, offering over 70 of the world’s finest collector cars at the stunning Villa Erba on May 24–25.

Held in conjunction with the globally renowned Concorso d’Eleganza, the auction is set amid the historic beauty of Lake Como, a fitting backdrop for the meticulously curated lineup. From sculptural pre-war masterpieces to era-defining post-war icons, the event captures the full spectrum of automotive artistry and innovation.

Among the crown jewels of the pre-war offerings is the 1938 Talbot-Lago T150 C Lago Spéciale Teardrop Coupé by Figoni et Falaschi. Celebrated for its sweeping aerodynamic lines and dramatic presence, the Teardrop Coupé stands as one of the most admired coachbuilt cars of all time—an enduring symbol of pre-war design elegance.

The post-war lineup is equally commanding, led by a 1964 Aston Martin DB5, made famous as James Bond’s car of choice, and a 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster, an open-top evolution of the legendary Gullwing coupe. Both vehicles are considered benchmarks in design, engineering, and cultural relevance, remaining highly sought-after among global collectors.

“Villa Erba provides the perfect stage for an auction of this caliber,” said a Broad Arrow spokesperson. “The connection to the Concorso and the global collector car community makes this an unmissable event.”

With its blend of heritage, rarity, and provenance, the Villa d’Este sale is poised to become a fixture on the international collector car calendar.
