An abandoned luxury hotel in Macao has resurfaced in public attention after a recent exploration revealed a remarkable fleet of high-end vehicles left behind when the property was shut down eight years ago. The hotel, once marketed as an extravagant destination for upscale travelers, was closed by authorities in 2016 following reports of safety violations and alleged criminal activity. Since then, the building has remained frozen in place, its contents—cars included—untouched and slowly deteriorating.
A YouTuber known as Exploring the Unbeaten Path recently toured the grounds, uncovering what can only be described as an automotive time capsule. Parked directly outside the hotel’s main entrance are three extended-wheelbase Rolls-Royce Phantoms, once symbols of the opulence the hotel aimed to project. Despite shattered windows and graffiti, the cars appear largely intact. Their presence raises the question of why such valuable machines were never removed or claimed, especially given that full restorations would still be possible for a determined collector.
Nearby sits a Mercedes-Benz S-Class coated in dust, a stark reminder of how abruptly the property’s operations ended. Beyond the entrance, a larger collection fills an outdoor parking lot, including well over a dozen Toyota Alphards that were likely used as airport or guest shuttles. Additional finds include several European luxury models, such as Audis and a Porsche Cayenne, along with vehicles barely visible in the dim lighting of the underground garage.
The most striking discoveries are the specialty vehicles hidden below ground. A white Dodge Charger limousine and a white Audi A8 appear parked as if awaiting passengers who never arrived. Farther back in the garage, the YouTuber located a stretched Hummer H2 limousine, a massive, party-ready machine capable of carrying up to 18 passengers.
The exploration video—part of a three-part series—also delves into the abandoned hotel’s interior spaces, where sealed snacks still sit in a cafeteria and suites remain eerily undisturbed. Together, the footage paints a surreal picture of luxury halted midstride, offering a rare glimpse at a once-vibrant destination now suspended in time.
