This 4x2 F-100 has the perfect stance.

Pickup trucks were designed primarily to get work done, but over the years, Ford has managed to include a good bit of style into its classic trucks as well. Just look at this 1970 Ford F-100 Ranger short bed. After almost 50 years, a black paint job and lowered suspension are pretty much all it takes to make this ordinary truck look amazing, and this Ford will be put up for auction next month by GAA Classic Cars.

Coming off a fresh restoration, this Ford F-100 looks sinister with a mostly blacked-out exterior that is broken up by just enough bright work to keep the truck's factory look. What definitely isn't factory about this truck is its ride height, which has been dropped thanks to a lowering kit from DJM Suspension. Regardless of whether or not you like lowered vehicles (especially lowered trucks), you can't argue with how cool this Ranger looks. The body-colored steel wheels with chrome dog dish hub caps are tucked perfectly into the fenders for a low and level stance.

Backing up its mean outward appearance and stance, this 1970 Ford F-100 Ranger is powered by a 302 CID V8 paired to a classic three-on-the-tree manual transmission. That should be deliver plenty of power to the rear wheels to show off a little at local car shows yet still provide enough torque to get some work done.

This Ford should definitely be on the radar for anyone looking for a unique truck to both drive and show, so be sure to register to bid ahead of time.
