If this '72 Chevrolet C50 pickup appears a little on the compact side to you, that’s because it is. This truck is a whole ten feet shorter than your regular C50. A set of two five-foot increments were removed from the frame on both sides of the rear wheels. A stock-width 8-foot Chevy truck bed sits perfectly on the shortened frame rails.
The body is painted in a nice dark green with only a couple minor imperfections. Both the body and the frame are free of any cancerous rust. Behind the doors of this classic truck sits a clean and all-original interior complete with green vinyl upholstery. The wood-lined truck bed is brand new.
Propelling this monstrous pickup is a completely restored 350cui V8 engine backed by a four-speed manual transmission sending power down to a two-speed rear end. Work performed includes a rebuilt carburetor, working manual choke, all new belts and hoses, and a new master cylinder. Handling comes from an independent front suspension and a tandem axle dually rear suspension with leaf springs. Power drum brakes bring everything to a stop.
Everything on this massive classic pickup works and functions like new. So if this bad boy is calling your name, make sure to place your bid on Saturday, October 5th as this truck (Lot 118) as it hits the stage at the Corpus Christi Old Car Museum auction.
