A classic Corvette with modern performance is now up for grabs, as the latest Dream Giveaway offers enthusiasts a chance to win a restomod 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Convertible.
Blending midyear styling with contemporary engineering, the grand prize reimagines one of Chevrolet’s most iconic designs. The 1965 Sting Ray retains the signature look that defined the 1963–1967 generation but replaces its original drivetrain with a 550-horsepower LS3 V8 paired to a six-speed manual transmission.
The result is a classic Corvette with significantly enhanced performance and drivability. Finished in Cyber Gray Metallic from the 2013 Corvette color palette, the car features a full blacked-out theme, including a black convertible top, black interior, and chrome-delete trim. Black 18-inch wheels and blacked-out side pipes further emphasize its modernized appearance.
Beyond aesthetics, the build incorporates extensive upgrades aimed at improving ride quality and performance. A C4-based suspension system, tuned by Van Steel of Clearwater, Florida, lowers the stance and sharpens handling. Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors provide improved stopping power compared to the original setup.
Inside, the cabin combines classic layout with modern touches. Custom gauges and carbon-fiber accents bring a contemporary feel, while Vintage Air air conditioning adds comfort. A hidden, app-controlled sound system maintains a clean dash appearance by eliminating the traditional radio, and keyless fob-activated door latches introduce a level of convenience not found in the original design.
The giveaway also includes $26,000 toward federal prize taxes, helping offset the cost of winning a high-value vehicle. As with other Dream Giveaway promotions, entries support veterans’ and children’s charities.
Since 2008, more than 180 winners have taken home vehicles through the program, and this restomod Corvette continues that tradition by offering a blend of classic design and modern performance.
