One of the rarest modern Saleen Mustangs, a 2023 Saleen SA-40 Speedster showing just 200 miles, is now gaining attention as bidding climbs past $66,000 ahead of its Nov. 26 auction close. Offered from the Burnyzz November Collection in Ocala, Florida, the car represents one of only 10 examples built to celebrate Saleen Automotive’s 40th anniversary and to mark the end of the S550 Mustang era.

The SA-40 is based on the Saleen 302 Black Label convertible but was reworked to stand apart even within Saleen’s lineup. It carries a supercharged 5.0-liter Coyote V8 rated at 800 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Finished in Speedlab Yellow with black and white accents, the Speedster features a body-color tonneau cover fitted with dual carbon-fiber-style hoops, a vented hood, a Saleen-specific front fascia, and a rear wing designed exclusively for this anniversary model.
Underneath, the car uses Saleen’s Racecraft R-Code suspension components along with ventilated and slotted disc brakes calibrated by the company. Five-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels and Continental ExtremeContact tires complete the exterior equipment. The original Saleen window sticker remains displayed on the windshield, offering an uncommon glimpse of how the car appeared when it left Saleen’s Specialty Vehicle Operations.

The cabin is finished in heated and ventilated Ebony leather embroidered with Saleen logos and fitted with a 40th anniversary interior package. A dashboard plaque bearing Steve Saleen’s signature, navigation-equipped SYNC technology, Bang & Olufsen audio, adaptive cruise control, and automatic climate control round out the interior features.

Documentation includes a clean CARFAX report verifying the car’s minimal mileage and brief ownership history across several states. Additional items include a car cover, the Saleen Retrospective history book, and original floor mats. The vehicle carries a clean title.

As with other collector cars, the seller advises buyers to expect typical maintenance needs and encourages pre-purchase inspections.
