A frame-off restored 1968 Chevrolet Nova SS with a blown 468 CID Big Block and show-level craftsmanship hits the market.
A fully restored and heavily modified 1968 Chevrolet Nova SS is turning heads with its high-performance build and show-quality craftsmanship. The street-legal restomod, which underwent a complete frame-off restoration, has more than $88,000 invested in its transformation and is being marketed as one of the most extreme Nova builds available today.

At the heart of this powerhouse is a 468 CID Big Block V8 from Big Al’s Toy Store, paired with a 400 Turbo-Hydramatic transmission and a three-speed automatic setup. The engine features a 871 BDS blower, dual Demon carburetors, an MSD ignition system, and a Be Cool aluminum radiator, delivering serious horsepower for street and strip use. A custom-built Moser rear end with 3.90 gears puts power to the pavement, while a fully rebuilt suspension with tubular “A” arms ensures better handling.

Stopping power is equally impressive, thanks to Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes. Other performance upgrades include a custom stainless-steel header and dual exhaust system, a trunk-mounted hardwood fuel cell, and an Optima Yellow Top battery.
The exterior showcases show-standard chrome and stainless trim, a custom fiberglass hood, and all-new glass, complemented by one-off, three-piece custom wheels worth over $11,000. The wheels are wrapped in Mickey Thompson radials, with 19-inch fronts and massive 20-inch rears—sized 31x18.00R20LT—requiring the rear trunk to be tubbed.

Inside, the Nova boasts custom leather bucket seats with Simpson racing belts, new carpet and headliner, and a custom roll cage. Autometer gauges, an Ididit tilt steering column, and a dash-mounted tachometer complete the pro-touring interior. Safety is also a priority, with a center-mounted fire extinguisher and a rear kill switch.
With more than $21,000 spent on paint and bodywork, this Nova is as much a show car as it is a performance beast—ready for cruise nights or quarter-mile passes.
