The motorcycle is identified as production number 204 of just 500 units built worldwide and remains with its original owner, who purchased the bike new. The limited-production superbike is currently listed through Bring a Trailer on consignment with 911r, a BaT Local Partner, and bidding has already reached $72,000 with several days remaining before the sale concludes.
Designed as an ultra-lightweight, track-focused version of Ducati’s Panigale V4 platform, the Superleggera combines extensive carbon-fiber construction with racing-derived engineering. The motorcycle’s carbon-fiber bodywork is finished in red with white graphics and mounted over a carbon-fiber frame, emphasizing the company’s focus on reducing weight while maximizing structural rigidity.
Additional carbon-fiber components include the swingarm, winglets, timing belt covers and exhaust heat shields. The aerodynamic winglets integrated into the bodywork reflect Ducati’s continued emphasis on high-speed stability and downforce technology developed through racing programs.
Power comes from a liquid-cooled 998cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine equipped with electronic fuel injection, four desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder and an Akrapovič titanium exhaust system. The engine is paired with a six-speed transmission featuring Ducati Quick Shift up/down EVO 2 technology and a hydraulically controlled dry slipper clutch.
Suspension duties are handled by adjustable Öhlins hardware, including a titanium nitride-coated inverted fork and a TTX36 rear monoshock connected to the carbon-fiber swingarm. An Öhlins steering damper is also fitted ahead of the billet upper triple clamp, which is laser-etched with the bike’s individual production number.
The braking system features Brembo Stylema R monobloc calipers mounted over dual 330mm floating front rotors, while Bosch Cornering ABS EVO technology with a six-axis inertial measurement unit helps manage braking performance and rider stability.
The motorcycle rides on carbon-fiber split-spoke 17-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tires. The cockpit includes clip-on handlebars and a configurable 5-inch TFT instrument display showing speed, engine rpm and electronic system controls. The digital odometer currently reads 16 miles.
The auction package also includes factory literature, accessories, paddock stands and removed mirrors and exhaust components, further reinforcing the motorcycle’s appeal among collectors seeking an exceptionally preserved example of Ducati’s flagship lightweight superbike.
