A heavily modified 1979 Ford F-150 Ranger restomod is taking center stage in the latest Classic Truck Dream Giveaway, offering enthusiasts a chance to win a vintage pickup transformed with modern performance upgrades and show-quality styling.
The custom-built Ford combines classic late-1970s truck design with contemporary hardware, creating a one-of-a-kind build aimed at collectors and performance truck fans alike. Organizers say the truck previously appeared at Barrett-Jackson, where high-profile custom vehicles regularly attract attention from enthusiasts and bidders across the country.
Finished in a High-Metallic Mocha Brown paint scheme, the restored F-150 was built from the ground up and extensively upgraded to deliver modern drivability while retaining the visual appeal of Ford’s classic pickup era.

Power comes from a 5.0-liter Ford Coyote V-8 producing 550 horsepower, a substantial increase over the original factory performance figures associated with trucks from that generation. The engine is paired with an overdrive automatic transmission and a traditional four-wheel-drive transfer case, giving the truck a mix of muscle car-style acceleration and off-road capability.
The build also incorporates several chassis and suspension upgrades designed to modernize the driving experience. A Rough Country suspension setup, Ford 9-inch rear end and 35-inch all-terrain tires contribute to the truck’s aggressive stance and utility-focused appearance. Beadlock-style wheels further emphasize the truck’s off-road-inspired styling.
Exterior modifications include LED lighting, a custom rear roll pan and a LUND visor, while the interior has been updated with digital instrumentation, Vintage Air climate control and Bluetooth-enabled audio equipment. Together, the upgrades create a blend of vintage aesthetics and modern convenience that has become increasingly popular in the restomod truck market.

Organizers describe the truck as a vehicle more commonly associated with private collections or major automotive events than public giveaways. In addition to awarding the truck to the eventual winner, the giveaway also includes $23,000 intended to help offset federal prize taxes.
The promotion is tied to fundraising efforts supporting veterans and children’s charities, continuing a model that combines enthusiast-focused prize vehicles with charitable contributions. Giveaway organizers noted that past winners have included military veterans, first responders and everyday automotive enthusiasts.

As interest in classic truck restorations continues to grow, vehicles like the customized 1979 Ford F-150 Ranger have become increasingly desirable among collectors seeking vintage styling paired with modern reliability and performance. This particular build stands out through its combination of factory-inspired heritage, extensive customization and high-output V-8 power, making it one of the more eye-catching classic truck giveaway prizes currently being offered.
