One of the rarest and most visually striking Porsche 918 Spyders ever built will be offered for sale at Broad Arrow’s Zurich Auction on November 1, 2025. Estimated between CHF 1.4 million and CHF 1.5 million, this 2015 example stands out not only for its immaculate presentation but also for its rarity — one of just three specified in Liquid Metal Chrome Blue over Mocha Brown leather.

The 918 Spyder represented Porsche’s most ambitious leap into hybrid supercar engineering. Debuting alongside the Ferrari LaFerrari and McLaren P1, it ushered in a new era of performance hybrids. Powered by a 4.6-liter naturally aspirated V8 derived from Porsche’s RS Spyder endurance racer, paired with two electric motors, the car produces a combined 887 horsepower and 1,280 Nm of torque. The result was a hybrid hypercar capable of breathtaking acceleration and a Nürburgring lap time that redefined what was possible for a road-legal vehicle.

Chassis number 389 was one of 31 units delivered new to Switzerland, where it has remained since. Originally sold through Porsche Lausanne Centre, the car was later fitted with magnesium alloy Weissach Package wheels at an additional cost of CHF 64,000. The lightweight BBS wheels reduced mass by approximately 15 kilograms, further sharpening the car’s already precise handling characteristics.

Having covered just 6,452 kilometers, this example has never been tracked or repainted and remains accident-free. It has been regularly serviced, most recently in May 2025 by Porsche Zentrum Maienfeld, and was inspected in September 2025 by Porsche historian Jochen Bader, who described it as exceptionally well-preserved.

Complementing its rare specification are a Carbon Fiber Interior Pack, Front Axle Lift System, and Glare Reduction Package — options that added tens of thousands to its original cost. The car will be offered with its original wheels, books, and documentation, including a service history consistent with fastidious ownership.

Representing the pinnacle of Porsche’s hybrid engineering and craftsmanship, this 918 Spyder embodies the convergence of technology, rarity, and design. For collectors seeking an investment-grade example of one of the 21st century’s greatest supercars, this Swiss-kept 918 stands among the finest examples to ever come to market.
