This modernized 1972 Chevelle convertible combines vintage charm with a big-block 454, digital tech, and show-ready looks.
A freshly restored 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle convertible is capturing attention in the collector car world, thanks to its seamless blend of vintage muscle and contemporary upgrades. Representing the final year of the second-generation Chevelle, this big-block drop-top is now a restomod masterpiece.

While Chevrolet's Chevelle lineup offered everything from economy coupes to high-performance SS models in 1972, few convertibles were produced—just 4,853, to be exact. This particular example, originally equipped with a 350-cubic-inch engine, now roars with a fuel-injected 454 V8 paired with a new three-speed automatic transmission. The transformation is more than cosmetic—this Chevelle has been carefully modernized to elevate the driving experience.

Finished in a striking Burnt Orange (R7R) over black leather, the car features a new black convertible top, 18-inch American Racing Torq-Thrust II wheels, and aggressive 295-width rear tires for a commanding stance. Performance enhancements include an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, Sniper EFI with a digital display, and four-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors.

The interior is fully redone, featuring Dakota Digital gauges, a new dashboard, and updated wiring. Even the stereo system keeps a factory appearance while offering modern functionality. A set of factory-look LED headlights brings this restomod’s road presence into the 21st century.
With receipts for the work, a car cover, and documentation included, this Chevelle isn't just a showpiece—it's a turnkey, road-ready machine.

Though it has a minor scratch on the driver-side front fender, the rest of the vehicle shines as a bold reinterpretation of a muscle car classic. This is not just a nostalgic nod to the past—it’s a celebration of timeless American performance with today’s reliability. See it here.
