1969 Chevy Nova Restomod Combines Muscle with Modern Sports Car Precision

Pro Touring Nova with 406ci V8, RideTech suspension, Wilwood brakes, and stunning Watkins Glen Grey finish—street or track ready.

A 1969 Chevrolet Nova restomod is drawing attention for its blend of classic muscle car heritage and Pro Touring performance, featuring a full array of modern upgrades to match its aggressive appearance.

Celebrating 65 years in business, Volo Museum Auto Sales is showcasing this extensively upgraded Nova as a tribute to both style and substance. Originally a California car, the Nova reportedly retains its factory metal and now wears a Corvette Watkins Glen Grey metallic finish accented by silver and red striping. The cowl hood, carbon fiber spoiler, LED lighting, and staggered Forgeline wheels wrapped in performance tires round out a sharp, custom exterior.

Under the hood lies a 406-cubic-inch small-block V8 built by Comptech Racing Engines. Dyno-tested at 411 horsepower and 456 lb-ft of torque, the engine features a Lunati Voodoo camshaft, Edelbrock intake, Holley 650 Street HP carburetor, and MSD ignition. It's paired with a Tremec 5-speed manual and a Dutchman 9-inch rear axle with posi-traction gears. Power delivery and control are further enhanced by a hydroboost braking system and a blacked-out front accessory drive system.

The Nova's handling is transformed by a complete RideTech suspension system. Highlights include coilover shocks, tubular control arms, TruTurn steering, a SpeedTech torque arm rear setup, and Wilwood disc brakes with six-piston front calipers. The result is a Nova that corners like a sports car.

Inside, the cabin features ProCar racing seats with harnesses, a RideTech Tiger Cage, Dakota Digital C2 gauges, Vintage Air A/C, a Budnik steering wheel, and Alcantara trim. Less than 1,400 miles have been logged since the build was completed.

This head-turning, track-capable Nova stands as a premier example of Pro Touring craftsmanship, blending vintage looks with modern performance engineering. See it here.
