The Corvette is powered by a 283 cubic-inch, or 4.7-liter, small-block V8 that is said to produce approximately 400 horsepower. That output places it firmly within the expectations of a purpose-built competition car, reflecting the era when Corvettes transitioned from stylish sports cars into serious motorsport contenders. The chassis is identified as F1A26283.
This example has an established track record in historic racing. It previously competed in several well-known events, including the 2007 Le Mans Legends, the 2008 Spa 6-Hour, and the 2009 Silverstone Classic. Restoration work was carried out by Tom Falconer of Claremont Corvette, a recognized authority within the Corvette community. Falconer is known as both an author and the Judging Chairman of the NCRS U.K. Chapter, adding credibility to the restoration process and the car’s presentation.
