1. 1966 Jaguar E-Type “Le Mans” by Design Velke

1966 Jaguar E-Type “Le Mans” by Design Velke
1966 Jaguar E-Type “Le Mans” by Design Velke, $699,900 (The Throttlestop, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin)

This is not a restoration so much as a reimagining. Builder David Welky started with a Series 1 2+2 long-wheelbase car, had it acid-dipped, and rebuilt it on short-wheelbase floor pans and sills for proper proportions. The result is a wide-body speedster in steel and hand-formed aluminum, inspired by the D-Type racers and the Lindner/Nöcker Low Drag Lightweights. The listing says the builder put 50 to 60 hours a week into it during 2023 alone.

2. 1967 Ferrari 330 GTC

1967 Ferrari 330 GTC
1967 Ferrari 330 GTC, $525,000 (DriverSource, Houston, Texas)

Lost, found, and gently awakened. This matching-numbers 330 GTC sat in dry storage for more than four decades and stayed in one family from 1972 until its discovery in 2025. It still has its original Pininfarina body number and Sekurit glass, plus Swiss export documents and a Marcel Massini report. The dealer recommissioned it to be road-worthy rather than restoring it cosmetically. For more on this model, see our look at another 330 GTC with unbroken provenance.

1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA, $355,500 (Classic Motorcars, Jacksonville, Florida)

A factory Autodelta team car that actually raced. According to the listing, this lightweight, aluminum-bodied GTA contested the 1968 24 Hours of Daytona, finishing sixth in class and twentieth overall. It wears its Daytona livery, carries an FIA Historic Technical Passport, and won its class at the 2025 Moda Miami Concours. It has also been rebuilt and set up for US historic racing, with a 175-hp 1600cc twin-plug engine and a close-ratio gearbox. Another Alfa worth a read: this 1973 GTV 2000.

The 2600 was the last Alfa Romeo with a twin-cam straight-six, and the SZ is its rarest, most dramatic expression, with bodywork by Zagato. This one has a documented restoration by Berlinetta Motorcars, Borrani wire wheels, and a black-over-saddle-tan color scheme that suits the car perfectly.
