The 10 Coolest Motorcycles Heading to The Iconic Motorcycle Sale at Kempton Park 2026

Iconic Auctioneers returns to Kempton Park Racecourse on Saturday 18th July 2026 for its flagship Iconic Motorcycle Sale, a 199-lot catalogue spanning everything from barn-find British singles to ex-works Grand Prix and Isle of Man TT machinery. Sifting through a field this deep is no easy task, but a handful of lots stand out for their racing pedigree, rarity, or sheer presence. Here are ten of the coolest bikes crossing the block this year.

1) 1991 Honda VFR750R Type RC30 – Ex-Joey Dunlop

1991 Honda VFR750R Type RC30 Ex-Joey Dunlop

Few names carry more weight in road racing than Joey Dunlop, and this NLOB-spec RC30 carries his mark. Steve Hislop campaigned it in UK National Championship rounds in 1992 before Dunlop himself raced it in Northern Ireland, finishing 2nd at the Ulster Grand Prix in 1993. Honda built the RC30 purely to win the World Superbike Championship, and this example remains a genuinely usable piece of that history.

2) 2016 Godet Egli-Vincent Sport GT

2016 Godet Egli-Vincent Sport GT

Nothing on this list is rarer than a genuine Godet Egli-Vincent. Hand-built in Normandy by the late Patrick Godet, this Sport GT was the very first example to feature the marque's all-new 1,330cc V-twin engine, a bespoke unit that takes the classic Vincent formula and drags it firmly into the modern era. UK registered and running well, it is as close as anyone gets to a factory-fresh Vincent today.

3) 1992 Honda VFR750R Type RC30 – Ex-Phillip McCallen

The RC30 that Joey Dunlop rode isn't the only one worth chasing in this sale. This NLOB machine was campaigned by Simon Crafar in the UK Championship during 1992 before passing to Northern Ireland star Phillip McCallen for selected short-circuit racing in 1993. Fitted with a Tony Scott-tuned engine, kit carburettors and Ohlins forks, it still wears its factory Castrol colours and comes with a history file including a signed letter from Honda Britain racing boss Neil Tuxworth.

4) 2024 Ducati Panigale V4S Bagnaia MotoGP Replica

2024 Ducati Panigale V4S Bagnaia MotoGP Replica

Ducati built just 263 of the V4S Panigale to mark Pecco Bagnaia's 2023 MotoGP title, and this is chassis number 002. Finished in factory Lenovo colours and registered new in the UK, it remains unused and effectively as-built, making it about as pristine a piece of modern Ducati history as it is possible to buy. For anyone chasing a genuine slice of contemporary MotoGP glory, this is it.

5) 1970 Harley-Davidson XR750

1970 Harley-Davidson XR750

Few machines are as instantly recognisable as the Harley-Davidson XR750, the bike that dominated American flat-track racing for decades and made household names of riders like Evel Knievel and Mark Brelsford. This early example has been fully restored over many years using factory-correct parts to get as close to the original specification as possible. Presented in excellent condition and running well, it captures everything that makes the XR750 an American icon.

6) 1913 Indian Hedstrom Two-Speed Regular Model 7HP

1913 Indian Hedstrom Two-Speed Regular Model 7HP

The oldest bike on this list by some margin, this 998cc Indian 7HP V-twin dates from 1913 and has survived in highly original, mostly unrestored condition. UK registered on a V5 since 1984, it comes with a valid Pioneer Certificate, confirming its eligibility for some of the world's most prestigious veteran motorcycle events. It will need some recommissioning before use, but as an untouched slice of very early American motorcycling, it doesn't get much cooler than this.

7) 2008 Ducati Desmosedici RR

2008 Ducati Desmosedici RR

Ducati only ever built 1,500 examples of the Desmosedici RR, the first genuine MotoGP replica ever sold to the public, complete with a screaming 989cc V4 and desmodromic valve gear lifted straight from the racetrack. This particular example has spent its entire life on display in its owner's house and shows just seven recorded miles, making it about as close to brand new as a Desmosedici RR gets almost two decades after production ended.

8) 1986 Suzuki RG500 Gamma

1986 Suzuki RG500 Gamma

The RG500 Gamma was Suzuki's answer to the RG500 Grand Prix racers, a genuine two-stroke screamer for the road. This particular example has covered just 2,200 miles from new, has had only one owner and has spent recent years stored in a climate-controlled garage. Presented in outstanding original condition, it is widely regarded as one of the finest RG500 Gammas currently available in the UK.

9) 1956 Norton Manx Model 40M – Ex-Derek Minter and Geoff Duke

1956 Norton Manx Model 40M

Believed to be the ex-Derek Minter and Geoff Duke Norton Manx 350 Model 40M, this is a genuine piece of British racing history connecting two of the greatest names ever to swing a leg over a Grand Prix bike. Fitted with a Seeley PGT five-speed gearbox, a four-leading-shoe front brake and a Bosch magneto, it is presented in running order and ready to be enjoyed at parades, track days or historic racing.

Offered in its original full race trim and still in running order, it is a rare chance to own a piece of modern TT history from one of the most successful road racers of his generation.
