Rare 2010 Porsche Cayenne S Transsyberia Brings Rally Heritage to Auction

A rare 2010 Porsche Cayenne S Transsyberia is drawing interest online as bidding continues on the limited-production SUV, which was built to celebrate Porsche’s rally success and combines high-performance engineering with off-road-focused equipment.

The Cayenne, finished in black and orange over a black interior, has 189,600 miles and is listed with a clean New York title. Bidding has reached $12,500 with six bids placed and six days remaining before the auction closes June 9 at 1:54 p.m. EDT.

The Transsyberia edition was created after Porsche works Cayennes won the Transsyberia Rally in both 2007 and 2008. Production was limited to 285 examples, with about 102 sent to the American market. The model stands apart from other first-generation Cayenne variants through its distinctive appearance, off-road equipment and use of the higher-output V8 also found in the Cayenne GTS.

Power comes from a 4.8-liter V8 rated at 405 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, sending output to all four wheels. The seller reports no notable modifications.

Factory equipment listed on the build sheet includes 18-inch Cayenne Turbo II wheels, an air suspension system with Porsche Active Suspension Management, off-road roof lights, a trailer hitch receiver, leather and Alcantara upholstery, power-adjustable heated front seats, a seat-mounted fire extinguisher, front and rear parking sensors, and a Bose sound system.

The first-generation Cayenne was introduced in the U.S. for the 2003 model year and initially drew controversy as Porsche entered the SUV market. Over time, the model gained acceptance for blending road performance with off-road capability. It was updated for 2008 with revised styling and additional technology before ending its run in 2010 as Porsche’s best-selling model.

The vehicle history report shows no mileage discrepancies, though it notes minor front damage in March 2018. Reported flaws include scratches on the tailgate, chips on the wheels, 2020 tire date codes, corrosion on underbody components and fenders, an intermittent slight oil drip, and a rear air suspension system that does not lower in sport mode.

Service records show substantial recent maintenance, including a February 2025 oil and filter change and oil pan drain plug replacement at 189,288 miles. In December 2023, work included an oil and filter change, vacuum pump gasket replacement, rear wiper repairs, lower control arm replacement, transmission fluid and filter service, and an alignment. Additional records note brake fluid service, camshaft adjuster solenoid replacement, coolant leak repairs, and steering column switch work.

The sale includes two keys, the owner’s manual and service records. The seller purchased the vehicle in September 2025 and notes that proceeds from the sale will be used to satisfy an outstanding loan.
