Electric Vanderhall Brawley GTS Brings 404 Horsepower to the Off-Road UTV Market

An unconventional electric off-road vehicle built in the United States is gaining attention for combining high performance with advanced technology in a lightweight utility platform.

The Vanderhall Brawley GTS is a fully electric four-seat 4×4 designed as a high-performance utility terrain vehicle. Powered by a quad-motor electric drivetrain, the flagship GTS variant produces 404 horsepower and 488 lb-ft of torque. With a curb weight between roughly 2,700 and 3,000 pounds, the vehicle delivers a strong power-to-weight ratio while maintaining a compact footprint.

The Brawley is built around a 300-volt electrical architecture paired with a 40 kWh lithium-ion battery pack capable of delivering an estimated 140 miles of driving range. A larger 60 kWh battery, offered exclusively on the GTS model, increases the potential range to more than 200 miles. Charging can be handled through DC fast charging or a 6-kilowatt onboard charger, while regenerative braking helps return energy to the battery during driving.

The vehicle’s aluminum unibody chassis helps keep weight down while maintaining structural rigidity. Its battery pack is mounted low in the floor to lower the center of gravity and improve stability. Dual A-arm suspension at each corner provides 21 inches of wheel travel, working with long-travel dampers and large 35-inch mud-terrain tires mounted on 18-inch aluminum wheels. Ground clearance measures 18 inches, giving the vehicle the ability to tackle demanding terrain.

One of the Brawley GTS’s defining features is its electronically controlled drive modes. The eCrab mode allows the vehicle to move diagonally, while eSteer enables four-wheel steering to tighten maneuverability. The eTank function allows the vehicle to pivot in place with zero-radius turns, and eCrawl is designed to maximize traction during slow technical off-road driving.

Inside, the Brawley offers an enclosed cabin with heating, air conditioning and heated seats. The interior features analog gauges, aircraft-style toggle switches and four-point harnesses for each occupant. Additional equipment includes power windows and a Bluetooth audio system.

Vanderhall Motor Works, based in Provo, Utah, was founded in 2010 by Steve Hall. The company initially built a reputation producing three-wheeled autocycles before introducing the Brawley in 2021 as its first four-wheeled, four-wheel-drive vehicle and its first dedicated off-road model.

Deliveries of the Brawley began in 2025, with the GTS positioned as the top-tier version. The model carries a base price of $49,950, while lower trim levels are available at lower starting prices.

A nearly new 2026 Brawley GTS with just 40 miles on the odometer is currently being offered for sale in Roswell, Georgia. The vehicle includes a battery charger, a Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin and documentation for off-road use.
