A heavily modified Quadro Sherp Ark, an amphibious off-road vehicle designed for extreme terrain, is now being offered for sale in Texas following a recent refurbishment.
The vehicle combines a Sherp all-terrain platform with an attached Ark module, creating a 10-wheel-drive system capable of transporting up to 19 passengers. Built to traverse land, water, snow, mud and ice, the configuration transforms the already capable Sherp into a large-scale utility transporter suited for environments where conventional vehicles struggle to operate.
Originally developed in Ukraine in the early 2000s, the Sherp platform evolved from early concepts into a production vehicle by 2015. Its design centers on a galvanized steel chassis paired with an aluminum-alloy body that forms a watertight hull, enabling amphibious travel. The vehicle’s oversized, low-pressure tires and bead-lock wheels are designed to handle soft or uneven surfaces, while a central tire inflation system allows operators to adjust pressure depending on terrain conditions.

This particular example is based on a 2018 Sherp Pro and is equipped with a turbodiesel engine paired to a manual transmission. Power is distributed through a chain-drive system that delivers torque to all wheels, enhancing traction across challenging landscapes. The vehicle also features front and rear access doors, a roof escape hatch, a reverse-view camera, and a full roll cage.
The Sherp platform has been used in specialized roles, including humanitarian operations where the ability to move across roadless terrain and waterways is critical. Its capacity to carry significant loads and operate in remote regions has made it useful in areas affected by conflict or limited infrastructure.
The Texas-based unit underwent extensive refurbishment in 2023, with additional structural reinforcement completed in early 2025. Maintenance work included drivetrain servicing, engine mount repairs, and fluid replacements across key systems.
Despite its capabilities, the Ark module currently requires attention, as it does not fully seal for water use. Until addressed, amphibious functionality may be limited.
Now listed for sale in Montgomery, Texas, the Quadro Sherp Ark represents a specialized solution for extreme mobility, combining passenger capacity with off-road and amphibious engineering.
