1,100-HP Hypercar Merges AI Design With Classic Emotion

Artificial intelligence might be reshaping every industry, but few expected it to influence the art of hypercar design. That hasn’t stopped Vittori, a new American startup, from trying. The company’s first model, the Turbio, made its debut in Miami this week—and while it embraces AI-assisted design, it’s still unmistakably human at heart.

Developed in collaboration with famed Italian design house Pininfarina, the Vittori Turbio aims to blend advanced technology with traditional automotive emotion. While Vittori downplays the role of artificial intelligence in its design process, the company confirmed that “some AI-assisted design” was used to refine the car’s form and aerodynamics. The goal, according to founder and CEO Carlos Cruz, is not to let algorithms take over creativity but to “celebrate the beauty, movement, sound, and energy of classic, historic cars.”

Visually, the Turbio fits comfortably within the hypercar elite. The sculpted front end evokes hints of McLaren GT influence, while its hexagonal grille, slim headlights, and deep blue finish help establish a distinct identity. The rear design is bolder still—four center-mounted exhaust tips framed by angular taillights and a massive diffuser with vertical strakes. Bronze trim lines the edges, giving it an artistic, almost architectural touch.

Inside, the cockpit maintains a modern supercar layout with a vertically oriented touchscreen, driver-focused instrumentation, and a split cabin design that feels functional yet luxurious. Beneath the surface, the car’s performance matches its looks. Power comes from a 6.8-liter V-12 hybrid engine built by Italtecnica, producing a combined 1,100 horsepower through an electric front axle. Vittori claims the Turbio can reach 62 mph in just 2.5 seconds.

Production of the Turbio is set to begin next year in Italy, limited to only 50 examples. Each carries a $2.5 million price tag—a figure as ambitious as the technology behind it. For a company blending code with craftsmanship, Vittori’s debut suggests that emotion and engineering may still coexist after all.
