The 1972 DeVille received a modest frontal revision that placed more emphasis on horizontal grille blades. The parking lamps were moved from the bumper to between the square bezeled headlamps, which were now set wider apart.
The 1972 DeVille received a modest frontal revision that placed more emphasis on horizontal grille blades. The parking lamps were moved from the bumper to between the square bezeled headlamps, which were now set wider apart. This move was made because of the new bumper system which was designed to withstand impact up to 8 km/hr without damaging the bumper, lights, or sheet metal.
A new DeVille signature script was affixed to the sides of the rear roof panels.
It may appear the 472ci V8 lost power, but it was just the new way of measuring output for its time - SAE net rating instead of a gross rating.
Sales were up over 60,000 units.
