The 1967 Mustang received significant styling changes that included revised grille and taillights-the taillights you recognize on Mustangs these days with the three vertical lights on either side of the tail. Simulated, better pronounced side scoops helped shape the more muscular sheet metal of the ‘Stang. Cruise control was now offered, and a new 390ci V8 was introduced into the Mustang’s engine bay, the “Thunderbird Special” that offered up 325hp.
