Not much was changed for the 1966 Mustang due to great sales from previous years.

However, 14-inch tires came standard on all models and the GT’s instrument cluster was made standard on all models. The exterior styling was unchanged from 1965 with minor changes to wheel covers, gas cap and emblems. New options include AM-FM radio and AM-A Track stereo.

Once again, production was up and the pony car became increasingly popular.
