Before the second-generation Lightning became the sub-five-second, blown-modular legend that collectors chase today, the 1999 model quietly rewrote what a factory pickup could do. Period paperwork from 2004 shows readings in the mid-to-high 40,000-mile range at that time. A CARFAX report notes minor rear bumper damage from a low-speed stoplight tap in 2015, which was repaired at a Ford dealer with no frame damage, plus the expected age-related corrosion and cosmetic imperfections.
