Street-Legal 2020 NASCAR Gen 6 Stock Car Listed for $67,500 in Missouri

A former NASCAR Gen 6 stock car with documented competition history has been transformed into a street-legal machine and is now being offered for $67,500.

The vehicle began life as Roush Fenway Racing chassis No. RK-1140, built in June 2020. It competed during the 2020 and 2021 seasons, carrying the No. 17 entry driven by Chris Buescher across multiple NASCAR tracks. After its retirement from top-level competition in 2022, the chassis moved to Rusty Wallace Racing. There, it was repurposed in a black “Midnight” No. 2 livery and used for high-end track experiences, including an appearance at Circuit of the Americas in Texas.

In its current form, the NASCAR chassis has been professionally welded to the registered chassis components of a 1999 tube-frame Special Construction vehicle. The result is a Missouri-titled 1999 Historic Vehicle, making it legally operable on public roads under that designation. The historic registration classification carries reduced tax obligations and does not require standard safety or emissions inspections.

Power comes from a Rusty Wallace Racing-built GM604 aluminum-head crate engine rated at approximately 600 horsepower. The engine is fed by a new Holley Aluminum Street HP 750 CFM carburetor. It is paired with the original NASCAR Mid Valley Racing Transmissions four-speed manual gearbox featuring straight-cut gears. The transmission was rebuilt in 2025. The car retains its original NASCAR 9-inch rear end.

The cockpit reflects its racing origins, equipped with a carbon fiber dashboard, AutoMeter Pro Comp Ultra-Lite gauges, GPS speedometer and odometer, ISP full-containment racing seats, dual window nets and a functional fire suppression system. Street-legal additions include LED lighting, a new windshield, a Bluetooth sound system, relocated trunk-mounted battery and a new fuel cell with sending unit and gauge.

Currently configured for road-course driving, the car features independent front and rear air-ride systems for adjustable ride height. The original Penske NASCAR shocks are included in the sale.

Recently serviced within 40 miles, the car has received fresh engine, transmission and rear gear fluids. With approximately 60 miles recorded, the vehicle represents a rare blend of documented NASCAR competition history and legal road use.
