A one-of-a-kind Acura NSX with motorsport credentials has surfaced for sale, offering collectors a chance to own a piece of Indy Racing League history. Listed in the Motorious online classifieds, this 2000 Acura NSX-T was reportedly modified in the United States by Comptech and ROUSH Performance for use as an IRL pace car during the 2000 season.
Finished in Metallic Blue over black leather, the NSX-T retains its signature targa roof while sporting an array of racing-inspired upgrades. Under the engine cover sits a modified version of the C32A V6, enlarged to 3.4 liters with tuning software, a UNI air-intake system, lightweight flywheel, and Comptech headers paired with a performance exhaust.
Supporting the upgraded powertrain is a suspension fitted with Eibach springs, aftermarket toe links, sway bars, and a triangulated billet rear strut bar. Braking is handled by Brembo calipers clamping cross-drilled rotors with stainless-steel lines, while lightweight magnesium BBS wheels complete the package.
As befitting a pace car, safety modifications include an AUTOTECH roll bar, ATL fuel cell, Simpson five-point harnesses, and a stereo block-off plate.
