Ultra-low-mile Ram Air III GTO Judge Convertible could fetch up to $350,000 at upcoming Mecum sale.
A remarkably well-preserved 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge Convertible with just 656 original miles is set to cross the auction block at Mecum’s May event, and experts say it could fetch as much as $350,000.

Finished in Pepper Green with a light tan convertible top, this rare Judge is one of only 168 Ram Air III four-speed convertibles produced for the 1970 model year. With its odometer barely ticking past delivery mileage, it remains in near-factory condition—making it one of the lowest-mileage GTO Judges known to exist.

Under the hood, it’s powered by a 400-cubic-inch (6.6-liter) V8, paired to a four-speed manual transmission. This Ram Air III powerplant produced 366 horsepower (SAE gross), providing plenty of punch in its day, along with the kind of visceral rumble that defined the golden age of muscle cars.
While the listing is sparse on ownership history, the car’s immaculate interior and exterior tell much of the story. The original bright green and blue side decals, BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, and showroom-fresh dashboard reinforce its museum-quality status. Despite its age, there's no sign of long-term neglect, suggesting it’s been stored and maintained with great care.

Mecum Auctions describes the convertible as a standout even among elite muscle cars. Given the rarity, condition, and provenance, it’s expected to generate strong interest from both investors and collectors.
With classic muscle prices plateauing for some models, exceptionally original and well-preserved examples like this one continue to defy broader market trends—especially when they carry the prestige of the GTO Judge nameplate.

Mecum’s auction will be held May 2025, and this GTO is already turning heads—long before the gavel drops.
