Modified 2010 Shelby GT500 With Twin Turbos Surfaces at Online Auction

A 2010 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 coupe equipped with a twin-turbocharged V8 and showing 12,500 miles has entered the auction market in Charlotte, North Carolina, drawing early interest as bidding begins to climb.

Developed by Ford’s Special Vehicle Team in collaboration with Carroll Shelby, the 2010 GT500 marked the high-performance peak of the fifth-generation Mustang lineup. From the factory, the model featured a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission, blending track-ready capability with distinctive Shelby styling cues.

This example has undergone extensive performance modifications, replacing the original supercharger setup with a Hellion twin-turbocharger system fitted with 15-pound wastegate springs. The 5.4-liter V8 has been built for higher-output performance and is supported by Injector Dynamics 1000cc fuel injectors, Bullet Racing custom camshafts, upgraded valve springs and steel retainers. An SCT BA5000 mass air flow meter and a Lethal Performance triple-pump return-style fuel system further enhance the engine’s capabilities.

Power is routed through a six-speed manual transmission fitted with a Spec ST-Trim Super Twin Disc clutch kit. Exhaust duties are handled by a Magnaflow axle-back system paired with QTP low-profile electric cutouts. The catalytic converters have been removed, which may affect emissions compliance depending on local regulations.

Suspension upgrades include H&R lowering springs, Viking shocks, Strange struts and a rear anti-roll bar relocation kit. The car rides on lightweight 17- and 18-inch racing wheels. Additional features include HID headlights, Shelby silver tape stripes and the factory Electronics Package with navigation and premium audio.

Inside, the coupe features snakeskin-style seat inserts and a Raptor shift light. The vehicle carries a clean North Carolina title and is offered with a CARFAX history report that notes minor front-right damage in November 2013.

The odometer reads 12,500 miles. Known issues include missing wheel center caps and scratches on the silver stripes. See it here.
