Low-Mileage 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo From Noted Collection Heads to Broad Arrow Auction Without Reserve

A highly original 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo with fewer than 11,000 miles is set to be offered without reserve at The Porsche Air|Water Auction 2026, drawing attention from collectors seeking one of the most desirable air-cooled 911 variants.

Presented from the Bill and Linda Feldhorn Collection, the Guards Red coupe represents the final evolution of Porsche’s air-cooled Turbo lineage. Produced for a limited time in the United States, the 993-generation 911 Turbo is widely regarded as a defining model of 1990s performance engineering, combining advanced technology with everyday usability.

Powered by a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine producing 400 horsepower, the car delivers power to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Its performance credentials include a sprint to 60 miles per hour in just over four seconds, placing it among the fastest production cars of its era while maintaining a reputation for drivability and refinement.

This example retains its original engine and transmission, confirmed by factory documentation, and remains finished in its factory-specified Guards Red exterior over a Cashmere and Black full leather interior. While the color was once a staple for the brand, it became less common by the mid-1990s, making this configuration particularly notable among collectors.

Originally delivered through a Kansas dealership, the car was first owned by Tom Hanna, a figure recognized in drag racing circles for both engineering and competition. Records indicate the car remained in his care for several years with minimal mileage before passing through a handful of subsequent owners across multiple states.

In 2019, the vehicle joined the Feldhorn Collection in Southern California, where it has been carefully maintained. At the time of cataloging, the odometer reads 10,975 miles, and inspection data indicates the car retains its original paintwork. Accompanying items include factory books, tools, and accessories.

As interest in analog-era performance cars continues to grow, the 993 Turbo has emerged as a cornerstone model. Its combination of limited production, advanced engineering, and preserved originality positions it as a significant offering in the upcoming sale. See it here.
